Dr. Shreeyash Palshikar, university professor and second generation magician, presents an interactive performance and lecture that brings together the history and practice of traditional Indian street magic (Jadoo). He examines the roots of magic in India, considering how magic relates to the colonial encounter and how images of Indian magic continue to be created and deployed by many practitioners still today.
